The UMNO General Assembly 2006 has ended. As always some leaders are vowing with life and blood to protect Malay interest… can’t blame them, it’s a Malay congress after all, they need to show their aggressiveness towards the others to fulfill their own agenda; that’s politic.
It has been unofficially confirmed that there will be no deadline for NEP. Good to hear that, honestly. At least we can be sure of UMNO’s intention to utilize on the racial biased economic policy until they can get what they want, so call balanced wealth between races in the country.

Was in a Chinese restaurant last weekend and overheard a mother talking broken English to her kids. It’s not just some Manglish or grammatical errors, her English was simply horrific.
If parents are hoping to improve their children’s English by communicating in the language… what’s the point if they are speaking crappy English? They are just showing bad example to their kids.

When tennis star Michael Chang won the French Open in 1989, he was asked of his feelings for being the first Chinese to do so; he replied with something like “I am just an American.”
I want to be a Malaysian too, just a Malaysian; not a Malaysian Chinese, or non-Bumiputra Malaysian… just Malaysian.

I just blogged a few days back referring to the Petronas Raya commercial, thinking that young Malaysians these days don’t know how to handle old folks (with Alzheimer in particular).
UMNO youth leaders have just proven me right in some sense, with their comments and criticism that retaliates on Dr Mahathir attacks on Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi.

Many Malaysians have probably seen the Petronas Raya advertisement on TV (watch it on YouTube), where a couple are trying to take care of their old man that’s having alzheimer.
I am not sure what the ad want to present in the end, I wonder if it indicates that the couple was doing not enough, that we have to be more filial and learn to forgive.. whatever, the ad sure raise lots of thinking.
