A gunman killed 32 people in Virginia Tech before killing himself on Monday morning (April 16); it’s the deadliest mass shooting in US history ever.
I will never understand why US has taken no action against their gun law since Columbine years ago; how many school massacre would need to happen before their leaders are convinced to take some actions.
School is supposed to be one of the safest place; you won’t know what places are safe when the schools aren’t… it’s pure tragic.
My condolences to the victims’ family.

It is really damn sad to hear that this kind of thing could still happen after what happened at Columbine and after what Michael Moore showed the world in his documentary.
their lives were snuffed out while they were having lessons… just imagine how shocked they must have been before they got shot
my condolences to the families of the victims and also to the survivors, this is gonna leave a mark on them forever

It’s really disgusting how pro-gun activists don’t give a damn about dying children. They just want to fight for their “civil rights”. How about the right to live?

American gun lobby is one of the most powerful lobby, making/breaking govt. including this present bush govt. WHich AMericano President/Govt. dare to go agaisnt them, even to this extend of losing 32 young lives unless/until the victim/s is one of their own.
Sad really sad…it’s time like this..3rd world countries are better off..can’t afford to buy a gun.

They’ve taken the “right to bear arms” to an extreme.
Too bad the “right to live the life God has given you” seems to no longer exist here.
But I will put those arguments aside. Now is the time to remember the families and friends of the lost in our prayers…

You are away from home and as Asian… it is never easy to get along with the Westener. We Asian.. always get a concept that Westener is something “glamarous” but you have to be here to know no more.

Not all Asians are getting along well… I can imagine that getting along with Westerners could be tougher.
I am not sure if I think Westerner is glamorous… but set aside some stupid stuff (like guns), there are lots of things we could learn from Westerners.

they should restrict the selling of fire arms. if it can be bought easily, that kind of tragedy will be repeated…if it is still being sold openly, for sure schools will never be a safe place to be at..

There is much debate surrounding this massacre with regards to gun laws and insufficient police response, but we should first remember the families and friends affected, and understand that grief has no race, religion or culture. Sadly, neither does sinfulness…
