Dinner with mum and sister at Sunway area yesterday, jammed for an extra half an hour because of the protest at Sunway Pyramid against the hike of toll rate.
I wonder why the protestors chose to demonstrate at Pyramid… it’s private property and as far as I am concern, Sunway Group has nothing to do with the toll hike. I wonder why they didn’t held the demonstrations at the toll instead?
The protest disrupted the businesses nearby, the boss of the restaurant I was dining told me that their business could drop by 30-50% because of the protest. It just showed that the protestors were being inconsiderate in some sense.

Visit Malaysia 2007 doesn’t started brightly… first it’s the incident where 30+ Taiwan visitors refused to get off a MAS plane after it landed in KaoShiung Taiwan, in protest of flight delay and poor treatment; and then here comes the BBC article that claims Malaysia authorities being racist.
I already mentioned in some of my previous post that 2007 is just a stepping stone for Malaysia tourism; it’s undoubted that they will be a rise of tourists this year, but what matters the most is that the experiences of these visitors will determine the reputation of Malaysia tourism for years to come.
Every little bits of travel experience matters. I can still remember how I was being troubled at the London airport where I was stranded for 25 minutes answering some stupid questions from the immigration officer… and 14 months later now I am still doing free but bad promotion for them.
There’s a good chance that Malaysia will do well though, Malaysians are mostly friendly people and with various joint efforts, Visit Malaysia Year 2007 should be a good one… despite not starting too well.

Malaysia disbanded the national hockey team that finished sixth in the Doha Asian Games and is planning to be replaced by a new squad of mostly national juniors. [NST]
It’s kinda funny that sports organizations in Malaysia always like to ‘build for the future’ and not thinking of anything that’s needed NOW.

It’s 2007… had dinner with family on New Year Eve. Most of the friends were back at hometown or going for a short vacation.
It’s almost unimaginable how many of my friends are in Genting at the moment. Chance is… if I drive to Genting now, I will likely to meet at least a few buddies in the casino.
2006 is a decent year for me; nothing great, nothing bad.
However, in terms of resolutions, 2006 is disastrous. I don’t even bother to get a new resolution for 2007, what I need is to work on 2006’s goals instead.
Let’s hope 2007 will be a great year for everyone.
