The Lina Joy issue has been making lots of chaos in Malaysia recently, especially among the Muslim community. A religion conversion has now turn into death threats and showing the dark side of religion extremist in Malaysia.

Want to share a recently published New York Times article about the Lina Joy saga, a pretty interesting read and a nice piece of summary of the event thus far.. [Once Muslim, Now Christian and Caught in the Courts]

I am not going to debate on Lina Joy’s rights for conversion, I’m not going to pretend that I understand Al-Quran, and I don’t have the expertise to tackle on issues involving national constitutions, and as often.. freedom of speech is never a good option when it’s involving religion sensitivity in Malaysia.
