Remember the scene from movie “Forest Gump” when Tom Hanks just couldn’t stop running?
In real life there’s a man that keep on running, with intention to complete 50 marathons in 50 days in all 50 (USA) states for the sake of raising awareness for people that have largely been forgotten a year after Hurricane Katrina slammed the region.
So far the real world ‘Forest Gump’ has completed 48 marathons in 47 days. [CNN]
To make his story more amazing, the runner, Sam Thompson [Sam's blog] almost lost his ability to run and could have died in an accident when he was 17.
It’s amazing that a body can endure that kind of physical endurance.. it seems so beyond my ability to finish a single marathon, let alone 50, in 50 days.
