Malaysia ranks 44th in the Happy Planet Index [link] that measure the efficiency of countries ability to enable the fundamental inputs of natural resources to be turned into the ultimate ends of long and happy lives.
New Straits Time (M) showed their kiasuness to make a comparison that Malaysia are better than Singapore, but the fact that Colombia ranked #2 in the list makes me wonder if there’s anything worth celebrating for NST.
Ranking on top is a country named Vanuatu [wiki], a pint for anyone who have heard of the place before. The fact that the island country is quit near to Malaysia prompted my interest to travel Vanuatu sometime, but it doesn’t seem like a cheap place to visit. Everyone can take the survey [link] and make some comparisons on the list, my survey results suggest that either me or the index is rubbish..

Malaysia’s HPI is 52.7, I guess I must be dang lucky to stay in Malaysia, or perhaps Malaysia is too good for me..

Below is a breakdown of the various components that make up your HPI score.
You:
26.8
Average:

Your personal Happy Planet Index (HPI) is 105.2, which is above that for any country, including top-placed Vanuatu, and is even above the reasonable ideal we have set, of 83. Congratulations! You are achieving on a personal level what needs to be achieved at the national one. Your score is above that of your country, 59.2.
