It’s a plus to know an extra language, whatever it is. Some jobs in Malaysia actually offer some 50% extra pay for those who understand Japanese.

For me an extra language proficiency is like an extra knowledge, and that’s nothing wrong for any company to get the best people they want.

On a bigger scale though, lots of other countries are encouraging people to learn Mandarin ‘cos China is booming. Surely it’s a plus then if you can speak Mandarin. Or any language besides Malay and English?

Ivan.. I really don’t mind BM or English compulsory or whatever, the fittest survived and the Malaysian workforce should continuously upgrade themselves. Just that Mr Najis is moving the opposite way and that disgusted me. Btw having a famous father helps a lot for political future as well.

Yeah.. not many ppl like Najis anymore. Well actually not many did….

but sad part is, in msia, staying in office isnt a matter of people liking you. its money and political power. haha
