Some friend sent me this naughty picture, which was taken in a yearly fertility festival held at Kanamara Shrine in Kawasaki, Japan, dated back since 1600s.
It’s named Kanamara Matsuri, Festival of the Steel Phallus, or simply Kanamara Penis Festival. I did some Googling, it’s said that the event is use for raising funds in HIV research nowadays.
Related merchandize like amulets, candies and lollipops are made for the celebration as well.
Seems like a fun event to attend lol..
I love Pachelbel’s Canon or Canon in D Major since I was a kid, my sister used to play the music with her piano.. and I absolutely loved it, although back then I actually didn’t know about the music title.
The Pachelbel’s Canon play an even greater role at later part of my life, it somehow reminds me of my father, the times that we had, and the times that we didn’t. I always wonder what would it be if my father is still here to share the joy and sorrow we had, have and will be having..
So our badminton team lost at Thomas Cup semi-final. It’s not the sad thing really, the saddest thing is that not much people actually bother about our lost.
Some of my friends don’t even know that Malaysia are playing the Danes in the semis.. some might even believe me if I tell them that we won the Thomas Cup.
A friend called me at 3am, she was feeling sad over a broken 6-year relationship that happened a few months ago.. we went out for a few hours of chat and it left me a lot of things to ponder about love.
I’m probably not the best person to give the girl any advice, all I can do is to listen, lend her my shoulder and give her a hug when needed.
Am I the only one who think that the American Idol audiences are giving standing ovation rather easy to the contestants? I mean the audiences are giving standing ovation to every idol regardless of their performance, making the recognition so cheap.
I always thought that standing ovation is a high recognition for special honor, outstanding achivement or for highly respectable person. But for American Idol.. I don’t know.
Danica Patrick is special.. Danica is not an actress, not a singer, not a supermodel, not a rich and spoilt, not a tv celebrity.. but her fame and popularity is rising like a shooting star in US and worldwide.
