I had a great grandmother who took care of me very well and we love each other.
My grandma and an old lady next door were great friends (actually kinda like family in law relationship) until in their late 80s when both of them started to get a little blur and childish.. caught by the old people disease (is it called Alzheimer or something?).
Since then they began to fight and quarrel on little tiny things, and some of the time those things are imaginery and not real at all. It’s tiresome to see those 2 old ladies in battle, but nonetheless hilarious as well.
Chinese has a proverb that says something like “when a person gets old, their behavior turn childish”.. so true.
Both my grandma and the old lady fell sick in their final days, almost simultaneously. I tend to believe that they were still hanging on to fight till the last breath, just to see who lives longer.
In the end the old lady neighbour past away, and my grandma followed her path just months later.
That happened years ago, both of them past away over 90 of age.
Deep in my heart I believe that they gain back their ‘conciousness’ and become great buddies once again in heaven..
Otherwise their continuous quarrel and fighting will turn heaven to hell lol.

alicia.. my grandma past away almost 6 to 7 years ago, well if someone died at 90s of age, that’s nothing to sorry about, that’s blessing.
I understand how you feel, I miss my grandma too once in a while.. probably just like everyone else.
ade.. I really don’t mind them living the same manners in their next life. Afterall they had been buddies for decades before their last few final years when their brain turned wrong :p

LOL! Maybe the quarreling kept them occupied, since old people don’t always have much to do.

I actually find it funny when old people fight. It’s because they take those things way too seriously.

Actually the funniest thing is they tend to forget what they fought yesterday and repeat the same debates day after day after days..
