This is “Rhytidodera sp.”
It belongs to Family “Cerambycidae”, Genus “Rhytidodera”.

Hey man I know what the name is for your dino bug it’s a “pine sawyer beetle”. we caught a few in a cocnut tree outside our house.

Yes, even the “neck” proportion seems a bit different, and the antennae should be longer for Thomson.. but that’s the closest I can match.

Not going to spend days trying to confirm it :p

ganchan you are a genius lol.. well I can't confirm 100%, but the insect look pretty much like spesies Massicus pascoei from family Cerambycidae. It has a simpler name, Thomson.

At first I thought it might be an assassin bug, but the antennae are different. This is where google is your friend: just search for “malaysian insect species”. Most likely your little visitor is from the family Cerambycidae (longhorn beetles)
