McDonald’s faces at least three lawsuits for misleading the public after it acknowledged last week that milk and wheat ingredients are used to flavour its French Fries.

The fast-food giant had previously said that its fries were free of gluten and milk or wheat allergens, they however added a “contains wheat and milk ingredients” postscript to its website’s fries listing this month.

2 of the lawsuits were filed by people with celiac disease, who have an intolerance to a protein found in wheat. Another 1 was strict vegetarian that would not touch the fries if she knew that milk was used.

It’s not the first time McD was sued, certainly wouldn’t be the last time. As far as I can recall they were recently sued for using excessive sugar to make their bun sweet, which caused health problems such as diabetes and obesity to children.

The most famous one will probably be the McDonald’s Coffee Lawsuit in the 1994, where the fast-food chain was ordered to $2.9 million to an old lady that was burned by their hot coffee. Since then we saw all McDonald chains showing signs like “Warning, Hot Coffee” lol.

What do you expect from a fast-food chain? I really hat them, they are just good on advertising themselves. Lot’s of lawsuits and they seem to not stop doing nasty things. Arrrhhh.

I don’t actually like to blame the fast food chain, as ade said.. everyone knows that it’s bad and still happily consuming it.

This case is however a bit different, producing bad fries and hiding facts from it is different issues.

Anyhow for sure it’s not good for health.

I read some articles too.. it seems like they added quite a lot of things in their oil and thus makes the fries taste better (but bad for health)
