American Idol is marching to their last 24, but I have a bit of feeling that I am watching Miss America..
Yes there are lots of nice looking girls and guys in the last 24, probably will attract me to watch a few more shows and that’s the point.. American Idol is a tv show and in tv, sex sells.
Here’s my ideology about American Idol..
If the Idol looks good, they need to sing well.
If the Idol looks “sorry”, they need to sing extremely superbly majesticly well.
That’s pityful because the show is letting go lots of potential singers because in the show, appearance does matter. Well probably this is why it’s called American Idol, indicating that it’s not a pure singing contest.
And kudos to miss Katharine McPhee, she is the only one that agrees with me when interviewed by Fox..
Do you think the audition process was fair?
No, they let go of some really good people and kept people who were pretty.
For this simple honesty, I am urging Americans to vote for Katharine McPhee lol..

i watch a couple of episodes…and yea..pretty-ness factor is there.
But than again..wouldn’t people want their idol to be pretty/good looking?
i guess it’s the whole package..not just the voice..otherwise they would have called it “vocal idol”

Fantasia and Ruben Studdard ain’t pretty and they won the American Idol..
I 100% agree that people want their idol to look good.. but in the end it’s still a singing contest and it’s the performance that matters the most.
Off course if the winner got the look + talent factor that well be soooo cooool.

Yes Joe, I just watch the AI girls’ show yesterday, I did not know that Katharine McPhee can sing that well, she’s really impressive.

Hey I think the BEST american Idol this year personally is KATHARINE McPHEE…. But if Katharine doesn’t WIN (which she will) I think Mandisa is next in line… GO KATHARINE McPHEE
