Hi Jee,
I was wondering…if the censorship in malaysia is so strict, then does it also mean that there aren’t any movies produced in Malaysia on gays, lesbians, transverstites? Couldn’t find any at all online.

You see, I’m doing a project on movies in Southeast Asia for school.

Hi Jules.. I can’t say I’m disappointed, haven’t watch both film yet.

And guess what? I bet that “Crash” will not be shown in Malaysia as well, the racial content is probably more ‘controversial’ than gay.

Well I don’t really expect Malaysia to approve it.. probably that’s why the distributor of the film didn’t bother to submit it for approval.

I wonder what is the base for censorship board not to approve the movie? Well if it’s solely based on GAY, than I’ll call it discrimination

Pasar Malam DVD? It’s still a nope for me, rather not watch.

Da 1st thing i thought aft reading da summary of that movie is pasar malam 4de DVD aint GSC/TGV la. Dontcha all think so?
Gay movie in Msia,thats like KL got no more jam 4da next50yrs! :p

Knowingly that the chance of showing this film in Malaysia is pretty slim, I watched it in Hong Kong uncensored. It is a very thoughtful, honest love where you can’t find these sort of honesty practically in this generation. The contrast of this show is not so much about homosexuality, but more on a relationship that maybe even happening to a man and a woman. The 2 main actors and the supporting actress did very well to express the stories within. Get a DVD and enoy the stories if Malaysia censorship board decided not to approve it.
