Malaysia police love botak head so much that they decided to force 10 senior citizens caught playing mahjong on the second day of the Chinese New Year to shave their head bald.

What funny is from Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Noor Hakim, who defended his men’s action, saying that..

Under Section 9a of the Lock Up Rules, the police can shave a detainee’s head bald. “So, we are just exercising whatever the law requires us to do.”

Ok nice, first we are afraid of police forcing us to strip and do earsquats, now we should be afraid that we are forced to shave bald (and it’s officially endorsed by the law book).. and guess what, the 10 poor senior citizens are not even proven guilty yet.

So what next? People getting shot for saying that the police are stupid? Aiyo sorry lar sir, I know they are lots of good policemen out there protecting the common citizens, but these stupid brainless rotten apple just spoilt the already shaddy police reputation.. pity those who really want to serve the country.

Also it’s a known fact that Chinese love playing mahjongs especially during Chinese New Year, well it’s fair enough if people are caught for gambling if they were doing so. I won’t argue about that, people who want to gamble need to be smarter not to get caught for it.

BUT, how can the police force be so inconsiderate when shaving the 10 uncles’ head? It’s a pantang and prohibition for Chinese to shave their head bald during Chinese New Year, it’s just like asking a Muslim to eat and drink when they are fasting during Puasa.. it’s so humiliating!

Also wtf is the reason for shaving the heads bald? The right to do so doesn’t mean the need to do so..

Btw ever wonder why the police unit are called police force?

Have other people shaved their heads in a show of solidarity? ;-)

None that I can think of.. it’s still in Chinese New Year period, head shaving is not an option.

Dunno. If a tradition separates me from the people I support, I toss the tradition… but I’m just not very traditional.

It’s probably why people look at me funny.

I look forward to seeing how this one pans out.

lol Taran.. I actually agree with you. I am not the kind of people that follow traditions blindly.

Question is what will head shaving help to solve this issue? Other than a show of solidarity that is :)
