Takeru Kobayashi sounds unfamiliar for most people, but many of you had seen him on tv or read his news.
Takeru Kobayashi (小林尊) is the current world record holder for hot dog eating (and a few other world eating record), now does that sounds more familiar? His record is 53 1/2 hotdogs in 12 minutes.
Nicknamed Tsunami Kobayashi is Japan famous idol, his fan base is said to match those famous actor and actress. The picture above is a recent tournament photo, look like a macho young lad.. but a few years ago when Kobayashi made his world debut, he was just a kid (right).

A few days ago I saw on tv a sausage eating contest.. Takeru Kobayashi vs Alaskan Grizzly (not a nickname, it’s a real bear). Looks like Kobayashi is bored that no men can match his ability and thus take on a grizzly instead. Results? Sure the grizzly won lar, no match at all lol.

this american is like freaking huge cow (I think arround 4 time larger than kobayashi)…the 2nd will lose like half of his records…and kobayashi to 6 pacts……

Yupe.. it was a big suspense on how Kobayashi could beat those big guys twice his size and as you said won it by miles.
I once read that in US have uni offering courses studying this subject, it’s science now lol.

Takeru is a competitive eating genius. I had never heard of him before yesterday evening when I cought MTV’s ‘real life’. He totally explained his methods and techniques. It all makes sense how he is able to put away 49 hotdogs in one sitting. He put away 22 pounds of food in one sitting!! Who else in the world can do that with out dying?! He looked like a sack of potatoes after that, it was insane. But honestly its no wonder he is now competing with animals, no human has conditioned their body and mind like he has. He took on competitive eating like one takes on a lifestyle. Well, in his case it is his life. I am now a huge fan of Takeru and I hope he reigns king over this sport for forever ! (I sound like such a dork)

lol Audrea, absolutely true.. in competitions with human nobody is even near the results of Takeru Kobayashi.. he is so dominant, probably he was a bit boring thus go to compete with a bear.
I watched some of his documentaries as well, Kobayashi make his approach in a very scientific way, absolutely amazing!

Agree with Marsi.. seeing Takeru Kobayashi eating is an art, and fun.. swallowing food, shacking his butt lol
Tory.. so you want to be as macho as him or to eat like him? It’s amazing that a person with Kobayashi appetite can remain that fit, most other food eating competitors is like so huge in size.

It’s crazy to know that this guy is still rockin’ and seems like he’ll never stop it! I have known him since he was 17(and I was just 10!) from the TV show over here called TV Shampion(which is no longer on).Aw….My prince!LOL!
