People love advertisement. Ever bought a women or men’s magazine like CLEO, ELLE, FHM etc? Did you noticed how many advertisement there are in the magazines, sometimes the advertisement cover more pages than contents, yet the magazines are so very popular.
I have broadband at home, I can easily read the news from all online news sources. Yet I buy newspaper every few days, mostly for the advertisement as the ads sometimes provided some info and insights that are not available through news reports.
My nephew who is 2 years old love tv advertisement, I don’t really know why. He won’t pay as much attention to cartoons but when it’s advertisement time, he will paused on everything and stared at the tv screen.
The advertising industry had evolved pretty much, it sometimes can serve as content enhancement rather than pure marketing stance. Also the creativity in creating the advertisement can be really amazing, watching some of the tv ads are better than watching movies.
Well there can still be rotten apples though, some of the advertisement are poorly produced to the disgusting standard, it could really hurt the products’ branding. Also when advertisement overload, like too many ads in between a tv show, it’s so annoying ain’t so?

Maybe ads are more fast paced and creative? n the scene changes very quickly, and often very colorful.

A great ad stays in your mind long after they stop using it.
I still remember the Levis “Mr Lover Lover” skit.
Then there’s the “corny pickup lines” that was used in a beer ad in local cinemas a few years back.
Currently one of the weirdest ones I’ve seen so far is the Gatsby ad with the clapping mohawk hair

Yvonne you are right, the tv ads are fast paced.. still I couldn’t understand why my 2 years old nephew is so fond of it lol.
Ganchan, the Lover Lover is classic.. who could forget that?
The Gatsby is freakingly creative, people will attracted by that ad but I wonder if anyone will use it..?
