Frequent Technorati users will probably know about “Boing Boing” topping Top 100 Blogs for some time.. but I just noticed a change.. a pretty sudden change I must say.

Hatena.ne.jp comes out of no where and topped the chart, with a very huge margin leading others in terms of links from websites.

Technorati top blogs, Hatena.ne.jp

I can’t read Japanese, thus I don’t know what the heck it is.. but the site seems more like a portal like Yahoo, or maybe a pinger like Malaysian’s PPS?

Curiosity kills, I got to call someone to find out what the site is all about.. at the meantime, any Japanese readers here?

hatena diary is, to put it simply, a blog service. Not much different from Blogger and the ilk, i think. It has all the basic blogging tools, including photo uploads. Apparently it is also accessible from web capable handphones. It also has some “keyword” feature. One’s blog will automatically generate keywords based on the content and connect to other blogs of similar interest.

Thanks so much for the info..

that is unfair, imagine technorati counts Blogger as a single identity, it will be so huge.
