Jonathan Ive, the designer of Apple Computer’s iPod and iMac, was named by Queen Elizabeth II to the Queen’s New Year’s Honors List. The London-born Apple employee was named a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE). [more from RedHerring]

I always thought that Apple CEO Steve Jobs was the ‘culprit’ behind the introduction of iMac and iPod, apparently Jonathan Ive was the one who designed it.

Congrates to Jonathan Ive for a deserved honor, he designed the colorful iMac in 1998 and led the design of a few other popular Apple’s products including the popular iPod. He changed the whole perception in IT gadgets design, proving that trendy and colorful products can sell much better than others.

It’s said that Queen Elizabeth is an iPod user, and US president George Bush is using it as well.. now that was kinda suprise for me too.

Guess it’s time for me to get a iPod Nano.. but RM1000+ sounds too expensive. What to do what to do?

Hmm…good to know that Mr. Ive is getting due recognition. It’s always Mr. Jobs who gets the glory, no?

How to get an iPod Nano … strike lottery? Or … put it on an Amazon wishlist and pray your blog readers will buy it for you?

Or … sell all your stuff on eBay and raise the 1000?
