Li Yu Chun the super girl is not superman’s girlfriend or something, she is voted by 3.52 million china voters to become the winner of China singing competition “Super Girl 2005″ (”超级女生2005″).

I was familiarized with the name Li Yu Chun (李宇春) while surfing some Chinese websites, the name “Li Yu Chun” was getting lots of exposures, matching the hottest actress and singer at the moment, that’s why I decided to dig a bit of the info.

I can still remember that night, I was sitting in front of my computer and suddenly felt dizzy.. it was not until minutes later when my mum called me that I realized it was an earthquake. I turned on CNN news not much coverage of it, and went for sleep.

What an horrific shock when I turned on the news the other morning, realizing the earthquake had caused a tsunami, a tsunami with unimaginable scale. Even the news reporters and stats were shock and confused, nobody really knew what was happening. The death toll was increasing in hundreds and thousands every hour, Asia was shocked.. the whole world was shocked.

TW and CY called me for a walk at 1Utama, TW was driving, which was a rare occassion lol. We gave up 1U coz of the traffic and went for The Curve instead. Pretty quiet there, not much people.

Today in Chinese calendar is winter solstice (冬至), I just had a great meal with my mum and brother’s family.

In astronomical terms, for nothern hemisphere we are having the shortest daylight of the year. Followed by this scenario is a few days of freezing cold winter and as the daylight is getting longer everyday, the weather will get warmer again.
