Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) is getting more and more popular everyday, famous MMORPG ‘World of Warcraft’ (WoW) had surpassed 5 millions players worldwide. [via LiewCF].

With montly playing fees of around USD12.99-14.99, WoW is making around USD60-75 million every month! No wonder Bill Gates are so keen with the gaming industry with the determined introduction of Xbox.

The popularity of MMORPG is creating lots of headaches for parents around the world, it’s frequently reported that the youngster are spending too much time playing MMORPG, some of them can stay and play at cyber cafes without going home for a few days..

While MMORPG producers are making the big bucks.. the social effect is turning bad. Since the last few decades people were blamed to be watching too much tv, recently blamed for spending too much time on webchat and websurfing.. pretty soon the biggest problem will be MMORPG.

Alicia.. play play no problem, must have self control that’s all.

I read the news about some China kids too, one of them actually collasped and died becoz spending too many hours on the game.

Every young generation will have their ‘addictions’, it’s just that at this era everything is so easily available compared to my days. I can’t blamed the youngster for not being discipline enough, it’s a social problem nowadays, not personal.

    Cheers and Merry Xmas everyone!
