I had seen a few Creative Commons logo from some websites and have some look at it, my general perception is that it’s a new form of licensing that allows people to freely use part of the copyrighted materials, as opposed to the traditional All Rights Reserved.

[Via Star Online] Malaysia is the first South-East Asian country to embrace the Creative Commons intiative, announced Multimedia Development Corporation Sdn Bhd last week.

I am not sure how this is going to benefit Malaysia, our government corporations like to waste money on useless things.. I wonder who needs Creative Common Licensing in Malaysia? How is it going to benefit Malaysians?

    Creative Commons Lincence is Free… Anyone can apply the licence onto their original content and declare their ownership of that particular content without any rights reserved…

    So no money wasted (Except for the contest) here… Creative commons promotes information sharing and helps people gain knowledge…

    Creative Commons Malaysia finally launches

    Finally, the long awaited (at least for me) Creative Commons Malaysia has been launched, albeit not offically.

    Nice point Gulengz.. sounds interesting.

    btw Creative Commons will only be officially launched on March 2006 in Malaysia.. but is currently opened in quite a number of countries.
