Sometimes people are too naive and scared of the police and take their request as order.. the truth we can refuse to cooperate in most cases. I believe the claim from the commission that the victim is a Malay woman, that doesn't make me happier or sadder.. the fact is human rights are being demolished in the case, regardless of race or nationality. This reward should be incentive enough and also compensation to the victim if any. The person's face, feature and testimony can be compared to the video clip to ascertain its authencity. If no one comes forward, then, the Enquiry Commission's assertion that it is a local Malay lady should be considered true then alleged 'Sandiwara' can be put to rest. The police may not exercise reasonable judgement or discretion and may subject all and sundry to ear-squats for even minor offences! Is there a guideline in the police stations on ear-squats - when it is deemed necessary and how it should be carried out? Why holding onto the ears?
