I don’t understand why always so many chinese wedding by year end.. my family are getting more than 20 chinese wedding invitation aka RED BOMB since 2 weeks ago.
Is there any discount on wedding gown, wedding dress or dinner discount for people who married year end arhh?
Btw unlike a church wedding where the couples say ‘I do, I do’ and trying to pretend it’s very romantic.. traditional chinese wedding was always a frenzy. The bridegroom (how to spell?) assorted by some number of best men must go to the bride house early morning, being make fun of, and serve tea to the bride’s parents and relatives, grab some angpau and some gold.. and give some angpau and leave.
Ok now the couple and all the best men together with some bride’s mate will go to the guy’s home, serve tea to the guy’s parents and relatives, grab some angpau and gold.. and give some angpau and stay.. and normally have lunch then.
Sound simple leh? but imagine that all the process have to finish within 4 hours, dozens of relatives from each site, hot weather in Malaysia.. you can see the thick makeup of the bride starting to melt.. speaking of which why do most bride makeup need to be so thick?
Oh and don’t forget the wedding dinner just hours later.. normal chaotic chinese wedding dinner. Lots of food, alchohol, noice and noice and noice.. I believe a wedding dinner crowd are noisier than a Sunday market.. the bridegroom will normally be force to drink (not tea larr) and force to say ‘I love you’ to the bride.. amazingly some girls will think that it’s romantic for your bf to shout ‘I love you’ at a Sunday market.. yes? no?
ok dinner is over, normally still long story ahead for real traditional chinese wedding.. but the newly wed will be so tired that the first thing they need is to take a bath and sleep. Oh and the next early morning the bride will have to wake up early and blah blah blah..
Advice.. guys and gals, go to church and get married larr..
