Remember Daniel? The Malaysian Idol 2005?
Yes it’s Daniel and he just released his first album “Daniel”.. well I don’t really care about him, I didn’t follow much of the Idol season anyway. What confused me is that he released a Chinese album instead of a Malay or English.
For me he is the Malaysian Idol, Malaysians voted for him, and that include Malays, Chinese, Indians and others.. now why on earth is he releasing an album that only one race can understand (I know music have no border blah blah but..), is it such a limitation that Chinese will have to sing Chinese song? Seriously I will be glad to see a Chinese singing Malay songs, Malays singing Chinese song (yupe Siti did that!) etc.. who else is a better option than our Malaysian Idol to do it.
Not blaming on Daniel, he probably have not much influence in this matter.. just want to rant that Malaysian is still far from creating a truely Malaysian community..
[updates] Daniel actually released a Malay single before releasing this Chinese album.. pardon me for the misleading info, thanks lilbrat for the heads up.

Well, it took him 2 months to release a chinese album, maybe he will release another english+malay one in 2 months time?

Well about 90% of Malaysian Chinese sms him to be the Malaysian Idol…so he has to balas budi ma!!

ali allah ditta.. lol what a name, random typing? Yes no doubt lots of Chinese voted for him, but I believe lots of other races voted for him as well. I personally know a few Malay girls that sent in tons of SMS for Daniel..

dudes…he realeased his single mimpi album with two songs in it..both malay..
he realeased this album before he realeased his chinese album..he and the company still respectthe tittle of malaysian idol.and..in case u dunt know.in his chinese album..there is 1 malay song and 1 english..=)
