England won the friendly match after coming back twice from behind before Owen grabbed the winning goal at injury time.
Honestly it was Argentine that deserved to win the game, they look more creative at attacking and more flexible in their formations. Their playmaker Riquelme was showing a class above all, dominating the midfield together with Cambiasso, and their winger Maxi Rodriguez was superb in the run and cross.
Mind that Argentina was still leading 2-1 before substituting Crespo the first goalscorer, playmaker Riqualme and their best defender Ayala.. only then England could play more positively and Owen in the end get 2 goals in the last 10 minutes. Argentina again exposed how clumsy their defence if without the commands of Ayala.
On and all a great game, credits to England for fighting hard and winning the game.. but frankly with their dull tactics, changes are seriously needed for them to have a chance to win the World Cup 2006.
