Love at first sight, that’s how I am going to describe Venice. I felt the sense of peace and relax at the moment I stepped on the floor of Venice, I didn’t really understand why, but I knew I was in love with Venice.

Craig, our guide gave us some simple instructions and brought us to a glass production house before giving us the free time to do whatever we like, since that me and my sister were not following any of the excursions program, we were having one whole day of free time in Venice, which proved a wise decision.

First we visited the Dodge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale) which is now a museum. There have some good collections inside, what interested me the most was their collection of old weapons, ranging from swords, armors to the more recent guns and rifles.

Just beside the Dodge’s Palace was the St Mark Basilica.

Later in the morning, the water rise.. funny is that the water actually rise from the middle of nowhere, from the cracks of the floors etc and filling places with water.. St Mark Square..

We had our lunch at McD and visited Campanile, the tallest building in Venice and had a great bird view of the city.

When we came down from Campanile we just managed to squeeze inside to St Mark Basilica when the Q was not long. St Mark Basilica design was very much different than other places, according to my sister it’s very much alike to the design.

We then strolled along the city and walking to the Rialto Bridge (Ponte di Rialto), a bridge with shops on it. We walked about 2 hours before we reached there.. a photo taken from the bridge.

Some stupid clocks..

We went back to St Mark Basilica and had a coffee and tiramisu.. before heading back to the dock and leaving Venice. One the way back, took some photos.. Dodge’s Palace and Campanile.
