Ostia was the main harbour of ancient Rome at around 700BC until 200AD. I never heard of it before this morning, and only until I reached there that I realized it’s one big piece of amazing ancient ruins.

The stone track was the original track that was used thousands years ago, it was quite flat back then, we could see some chariot’s wheel mark on some stone.

Their town planning was amazing, with proper roads and drains, their streets and shops layout are still adapted and used in some modern cities.

Ostia popularity as a tourist spot was less develope, thus not much visitors compared to Rome (Ostia is less than an hour drive from Rome btw).. but I like place very much, it’s special.
