We left Versailles at noon (11/10/2005) to Lyon, passed by lots of vineyards alongside the road.

Lyon was merely a stop point on the way to Nice, so nothing much to do, free night. While most of tour mates decided to enjoy their beer, me and my sis decided to go to Fourvière Hill and have a look at Fourvière Basilica, and also a bird view of Lyon night scene. It was a bit to navigate the map and get there, we managed to reach it in the end with the help of friendly locals, merci. The night scene from top of the hill was splendid, worth our walking.
Lyon night

AvignonWe left Lyon in the morning the other day (12/10/2005) to Nice. We stopped at Avignon for lunch and a brief walk around thehistorical small town. Palais des Papes is one of the largest and most important medieval gothic buildings in Europe and was the residence of 7 Popes around 14th century.

We passed by Cannes, had a look before reaching Nice at around 4pm, oh what a wonderful coast!

At night, we visited Monaco and Monte Carlo, one of the most luxurious place on earth, with lots of luxurious house, cars and yatchs.
Monte Carlo

One of the famous spot is the splendid Grand Casino, a popular scene for hollywood movies. You must hear the toilet story from my sister lol, she almost wanted to stay overnight in the toilet.
