Woke up late due to jet-lag, originally planned to visit Oxford and Costworth, but due to time constraint.. decided to have a London sightseeing instead.
I had no particular plans, so just headed straight to one of the larger underground station, the Victoria station. Reached Victoria station at around noon and started my long walking journey.
Not knowing where to go, I just follow my gut instinct and headed for one of the direction. Within minutes I reached a familiar place, Buckingham Palace it is, the Queen’s official residence.

Just nearby the palace is one of the most beautiful park in London, the St. James Park.

St. James Park itself is a beauty, so does the sceneric view from the park, standing at the middle at one of the bridge across a small lake, view from on side I could see the London Eye..

.. while from the other side I could see a nice Disney-styled structure, which I had no clue what it was at that moment.

I decided to go and investigate what the building is, and with some sense of directions, I continued my walk, I passed by some commercial areas, some wonderful buildings that I didn’t know of the names..
After half an hour of walk without a trace of the London ‘Disney’ I felt lost.. than the savior appeared, I saw a sign signalling me to Picadilly Circus, one of the most famous London trademark, and I walked there.

I then follow the road sign to Tralfagar Square and reached there in minutes, by that time I realized that London is not that big after all, most places are reachable by foot lol. Tralfagar Square was in the process of renovation, the functions were not working, still a lot of pigeons around though.

Just beside the square is the National Gallery, which stored hundreds of world known art masterpiece.. one of the very few I know is the Sunflower by Van Gogh.
I am not an artistic person, thought that there will be nothing much to offer.. but I was already there, so just headed in (I was deeply in need of toilet actually). Turned out it was quite an impressive hour inside, the paintings are absolutely amazing that it could blow anyone’ mind.
Without knowing the name of the Disney-like building, it would be difficult to find my destination. Nevermind, I’d seen a lot anyway, so just walked.
Just after some 15 minutes, I saw the familiar unique roof design.. yay I was in ‘Disney’, wonder what the heck it is.. da da.. turned out that the Disney-style structure was actually a horse yard, where the royals use to keep their horses.. lol what a luxurios place to keep horses. This place is named White Hall btw.

And guess what, White Hall is actually located just beside St. James Park, and I make a big round before reaching there. I decided to take out my map and have a look, and then decided to walk to the famous Big Ben.

My final destination of the day would be Tower Bridge, I walked for a few blocks what soon realized how far it was, I decided to take a tube instead. It’s already evening when I reached the bridge, it still looked great as always.

Btw, most people mistaken that Tower Bridge is London Bridge, the London Bridge actually looks like a normal bridge.
I grabbed a sandwich and coffee at the Tower cafe just beside the London Tower, feeling the slightly stingy breeze, it’s a wonderful day, I was glad I was there. London Bridge looked cool when the light is on..

I decided to head back home, but changed my mind at the middle and decided to have a look at the Big Ben during the night. It was awesome! My photo looked a bit spooky though lol..

Across the bridge was the London Eye, looked nice at night too.

What a day, love it!
